Brian Vahey, CFA, is a retired Navy submarine officer who began his career in institutional investing for GE capital and GE Asset Management before moving to King Street Capital Management. His approach has always been to lead via change, whether it be creating a CDO platform, a portfolio management team, or the establishment of structured asset strategy for a $5 billion hedge fund.
Brian's experience includes over a decade of providing specialized knowledge and advisory services for clients and attorneys with issues in the finance sector, including asset management, fiduciary duties, regulatory compliance, trading, risk, due diligence, fraud, restructuring, bankruptcies, and securities valuation and models. He has analytical and trading experience across a range of investments.
Brian has worked extensively as a testifying expert and consultant in securities litigation matters for both plaintiffs and defendants. His work encompasses anti-trust, class actions, civil, regulatory, and criminal defense. He has testified in both federal and state court.
Brian's volunteer work involves applying this financial acumen and leadership to housing and social services nonprofits as well as serving as the Chair of his town's $500 mill retirement investment board.
As a consultant, Mr. Vahey has been active in investigating and supporting litigation involving asset management, financial services, and securities, including structured financial products, alternative assets and derivatives. Anna M. Laudon has had a 30+ year career focused on financial, business, and strategic analysis and business development in banking, financial services, and most recently, non-profit sectors. Throughout her career she has management cross-functional teams in order to efficiently develop and execute strategies to build businesses, implement new business lines, expand into new markets, execute transactions, and build strong, lasting client relationships. She has an extensive background in finance, banking, credit risk assessment, and risk management. Ms. Laudon has implemented and improved business processes and developed strategic plans, business models, and budgets.
Ms. Laudon recently completed an Encore Fellowship with the Girl Scouts and undertook the evaluation and facilitation of strategic projects focused on improving the delivery of services to its members.
Ms. Laudon has extensive experience in banking and financial services. beginning at Schroders plc lending to both corporate and insurance clients. At Citigroup, she was a Managing Director covering global insurers identifying and assessing clients' corporate finance, asset management and operational needs; analyzed credit and business risks; and advised on capital raising and liquidity management strategies.
At Radian Asset Assurance, Ms. Laudon managed in their Credit Solutions business overseeing origination, risk assessment, and deal execution involving credit default swaps and financial guaranties. At Fitch Ratings she was a Senior Director in the Corporate Finance Business and Relationship Management team responsible for marketing Fitch's services to corporate issuers' CFOs and Treasurers.
She is an active member of her community, serving as the Treasurer of her co-op and supporting local elder care and hunger relief programs in her community.
